Hi! I’m Candice Rose and I run Spin the Dial.
My style is natural and candid and I take a documentary approach to filming weddings by filming in ways to be as unobtrusive as possible. I use gear and techniques that are tried and true, no gimmicks, no overly posed shots. Just real & honest film making. I love to help my couples have the greatest day ever and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I received my Masters in Film from UCLA and I'm pretty unique in the wedding industry because I offer filming on real chemically processed Kodak Super8 and 16mm film and I always give all the raw footage to my couples for free.
I’m based in both Joshua Tree and Los Angeles and service all areas in between for free and offer low travel fees for anywhere in CA and beyond.

Yes! I always give raw footage for free to all my couples.
How does the filming work?
The day of the wedding I will come say hello and then try to turn into a little ghost and capture all the best moments. Since I also work as a professional documentary film maker I am well versed in helping people feel safe and comfortable in front of the camera. So I am here to hype you up if you need and stand back when you’re ready to fly solo.
What's your experience level?
I have been filming weddings since 2013 and have shot more than 200 weddings and elopements. I also my my MFA in film from UCLA and have been studying photography since 2000.
