About RACHELLE APPELLE
I started sewing and designing my own clothes at age 11. Studied fashion design in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was awarded a trip to study couture sewing in Paris, France. I have worked professionally in the costume and fashion worlds for almost 20 years. I worked for a couture wedding dress alterations shop for 3 years and since the COVID shutdowns I started my own business. I specialize in making and designing custom wedding gowns and suits, vintage wedding gown redesigns, and couture wedding gown alterations and suit alterations. Non-traditional wedding attire is my favorite.

Can I work with plus size individuals?
Yes, I feel comfortable making clothes and doing alterations for people of all sizes. I enjoy working one on one with my clients to make their dream wedding attire.
Do I make clothes for any genders?
Yes, I have made gowns, suits, and gender fluid clothing for individuals of all gender expressions. I have also done alterations for all gender expressions.
Do I work with LGBTQ weddings?
Hell yes!
Do I do rush alterations?
This depends on my schedule and work load but I always try to accommodate if I can. I understand emergencies come up and I want to help.
Do I do bridesmaid dress and mother of the bride dress alterations?
Yes if I am already working with the bride.
Am I comfortable working on vintage dresses?
Yes I’m very comfortable and actually I love working on vintage dresses! I love the history behind the dresses and modernizing them.
